Tessitura Luigi Bevilacqua is one of the oldest and most prestigious textile manufactures in Venice. Its origins date back to the Middle Ages, when the Bevilacqua family began producing fine fabrics for the Venetian nobility. However, the current company was officially founded in 1875 by Luigi Bevilacqua, who inherited designs, looms and techniques dating back to the Renaissance. Even today, the weaving mill keeps the ancient craft tradition alive, using original 18th-century looms from the Silk School of the Serenissima.
